Bernard Renot, French painter born in 1935, living in California since 1985, is a passionate of life, he likes to invent life, not merely copy it. Renot is an instinctive painter, entirely self-taught, growing in character and control over 50 years of métier.

Strong colors tempered by artistic reflection mirror the man behind the brush. From this confrontation between impulse and restraint grow artworks; sometimes difficult, at others magnificently insolent but always voluptuous. “L’art c’est la creation, rien d’autre”, says RENOT (Art is creation, nothing else).
